Brendan Martin, known to the music industry as B. Martin, is slated to be the… Who’s Next To Blow artist. If you don’t believe me, just ask any of the DJ’s over at Hot 97 radio in New York where Martin won Hot 97’s radio competition earning him the title of “Who‘s Next“. From there, he went on to compete against the “Who’s Next” winner of LA at SXSW, beating him and being recognized as the “Who’s Next Battle of The Best Winner.”

As a result of these accomplishments, B. Martin was rewarded by performing at Hot 97’s Summer Jam Festival Stage in 2012 where Martin graced the stage alongside Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, BIG K.R.I.T., Schoolboy Q, and a host of other hot artists.

B. Martin has been compared to the likes of Drake and Eminem, yet he has his own unique style and sound. He was first exposed to the rap scene in his junior year of high school in upstate New York. While Martin’s main focus at the time was academics, he seized the opportunity to cultivate his newfound love for the lyrics and flow of rap music.

It didn’t take long for Martin to monopolize his high school rap scene, which led to his fans following him all the way to SUNY Albany. Martin used his social networking skills on sites like Facebook to keep his fans abreast of show dates and any new music releases. As Martin’s popularity climbed to the top he ended up winning the Battle of the Bands at SUNY Albany.

Doors that were closed to most up and coming artists began to open for Martin, allowing him the opportunities to perform at several venues. He has opened for key artists such as J Cole, Fabolous, Steve Aoki and Young Jeezy.  Still focused on academic he managed to maintain a 4.0 in Albany’s business school, while traveling to third world countries like Ecuador on humanitarian missions.

In the late 2011, B. Martin signed with Phase One Network, a label distributed through Sony/RED. Shortly after, he released his highly anticipated mix CD “Ladies & Gentlemen” & “B. Martin: Pre-Mix Tape” to rave reviews. Martin didn’t stop at there and went on to release his single “Swoosh” from his mix tape, “Music, Love, Enemies,” in addition to booking national tour dates in support of the release.

Martin has been described by many in the music industry as the complete package with his genuine attitude and undeniable charm which culminates into that “it“ quality that superstars are made from. Currently busy with a full schedule for 2013, B. Martin’s newest single, “I WANT IT ALL” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Juicy J, has just hit the radio waves. Expect to see and hear more from
B. Martin this year as he is gearing up to shoot music videos, release new music and perform in a city near you.  To keep up with what’s next for B. Martin be sure to follow him on Twitter @Bmartinofficial.
